The Big E is part of Glass Mill Social Enterprise — a community-driven movement with a heart as big as the cities it serves.
Since 2018, we have distributed over 6 million meals and diverted more than 16,000 tonnes of food from landfill. Our vision is to see people sustained and truly thriving — not just surviving. Whether it's a warm meal, everyday toiletries, or a fresh set of clothing, we believe everyone deserves a helping hand when they need it most.
By the generosity of our ecommerce community and buyers, every purchase helps us reach further — feeding more families, supporting more individuals, and making a tangible change in communities across the UK and beyond.
Making the change that lasts
Our volunteers distribute free donated food, toiletries, and clothing.
On average, within just 3 months, 99% of our volunteers are self-sustained — and have already become a point of relief for at least one other person.
